This blog post is due for a long time, but somehow never got around to it. I’ve always wanted to have a garden party, but since none of us have birthdays in the summer, I used our anniversary as the occasion.We wanted to celebrate it with our closest family and friends, after we made the guest list I took care of the theme, I wanted flowers.

Dresses: So went looking for a floral traditional saree, on instagram I found one messaged the seller she sent me the pictures and I bought it. She said the saree would be delivered in 2 weeks, I waited and waited, although I had already ordered the saree in February it arrived in early May and to my misfortune quite a different saree than what I ordered. Our families I have already given the dresscode, the children and women should wear what with flowers and the men Kurta top, so and I stood there without my flower saree. I had no choice then to go to the stores here, originally I wanted a buttercolor saree but since I didn’t find anything I decided on a magenta saree which I got at Rikshis Fashion in Basel. For Kanna and Shayu I got the kurtas at Manjari Sarees

Decoration: Since there is a 50/50 chance of nice weather in June I inquired about a rental tent. They were all so overpriced so Kannas colleagues said why don’t we just buy one ourselves and we went to Hornbach we found the same tent much cheaper. The weather was not good exactly for this weekend, so Kanna and his brother put up the tent on Saturday. Background decoration I ordered from Malar Swiss, originally I wanted to put it outside but since it was supposed to rain I put it inside, as always exactly as I wanted the deco was perfect.

Food: Appetizer we ordered from Maayil Box, as always everything, from delivery to taste was perfect. The food we ordered from Swiss Tamil Party Service, Briyani rice and Puddu mix with various curries. Here also from delivery to taste, it was just perfect

Entertainment: We rehearsed a dance, me, Shayu and Kanna. The choreography was done by my middle sister. I had prepared some games and everyone participated. It was a nice and fun evening

Gifts for the Guest: I like to give our guest gifts at our parties, it has to be theme appropriate and something usable. So I turned to Lavyslettering here, I wanted personalized cup coasters for each guest, she came up with the idea for the packaging. She did the whole thing so beautifully, our guests still enjoy the gifts.

Photo & Video: That was the only thing my husband decided, I really wanted a shortclip so not many came into question. Since we already knew Janu personally we chose Signature. The best decision, they were there on time and immediately mingled with the group, we got such beautiful snapshots just great. They even got the guests dancing to Arabic Kuthu. The clip is just awesome.
