So now it’s been a little longer, hope you are well. Time is flying so fast, my birth date is also approaching, I’m already nervous how the whole thing will go when the baby is here. In this blog I will write about my Valaikappu. With Shayan I had a baby shower organized by his goddesses and so I wanted a Valaikappu this time.

Dresses: I had seen online a yellow saree with violet&green border, but since I already had no luck with the order at the Anniversary, I decided to search this time here in Switzerland. This saree I found at Avyukt, it was love at first sight, I really wanted to wear the jewelry from my mother and since it was pink this saree was a perfect match. For my husband and Shayan I got the outfits at Manjari Sarees.

Decoration: Of course I booked Malar Swiss for the decoration. I put something together with online pictures and sent him everything including Gumpam set and Thaddam, everything was delivered by them. Simply super service as always

Food: Since it was clear that the food will be vegetarian, I really wanted food with vaalai illai and when I asked Swiss Tamil Party Service, he said instead of loose vaalai illai it would be easier with silver thaddu and valai illa so we did it just like that. The delivery was on time and the food was just awesome

Makeup and Hair: I had written to several makeup artists, when a friend of mine said why don’t I request Maha. So I did but thought she must be booked already. When the answer came she would be available I booked her immediately.

It was the best decision, I had never received so many compliments. I was with her at 07:00 in the morning and my makeup and hair still looked exactly the same in the evening, just awesome.

Photo & Video: Video was clear we would book Signature again as we were very pleased with the clip from our Anniversary. We were not sure about the photos, then we booked dimstales. I liked the photo style of him, but wasn’t sure how it would be with the traditional pictures. But we were really comfortable with both Jay and the Signature team. So that was a quick recap, of my valaikappu. We just finished the baby room, should I write about it?
